Just Detailed: BMW F02 750Li
Posted by macdude on April 20th, 2009 filed in Photography, DetailingWe had an opportunity to work some magic on Bayerische Motoren Werke’s ultimate executive limousine. This is the flagship 5-liter V8 twin-turbo from BMW’s 7-Series stable. The new N63 engine puts out over 400 horses and 600 Nm’s of torque. Forced induction is the direction that BMW is heading for more efficient fuel consumption and on-demand power.
Feature-wise, this BMW is packed to the limits with the latest technological innovations. Imagine cameras mounted on the side of the front and on the rear bumpers that can detect and highlight objects for complete parking convenience. Or the illustrated owners manual with detailed graphics of parts of the car that an owner/driver can browse, select and read the complete description for comprehension and trouble-shooting right in the new iDrive menu! And that’s just the stuff that’s not on the brochure *hehe*
Here’s a shot of the massive engine…

And check out the rear of the car which has very similar influences with the Lexus LS460 but with much cooler back light detailing…

It’s gonna be a very tight race to the top of the German luxury segment with Mercedes Benz’s S-Class series due for a face-lift and the inclusion of newer daytime-running LED’s, Split-view LCD technology among other upgrades which they had an early head start with last year.
Meanwhile, let’s grab a seat and some popcorn and enjoy the show!
Cheers
