Ducati 1098S SuperBike Shoot!
Posted by macdude on May 30th, 2008 filed in Friends, Personal, Photography, DetailingLast week, both Ted and I arranged a shoot together and we chucked a bunch of lights around to capture the Ducati 1098S. Ted’s rediscovering his love for bikes at the moment… *hehehehe* Jimin Lai who’s an ex-AFP shooter dropped by to snap a couple of frames in the late evening as well. It’s quite a lot of fun to have a few photographer buddies get together during the evenings to mess about.
This is how our setup looked like:

Strobist Info: Nine strobes ranging from 1/4th - 1/8th power triggered via Pocket Wizards and optical slaves. Strobes positioned around the front, rear and top of the bike to create the key-lights using a combination of bare and snooted lighting. Velvet cloth used as a background. Processed in CS3.
This is how the bike looked before the lighting setup:

Ted brought along the velvet backdrop but it was a tad short so we had to wing it and shoot a very tight frame.

Turned out to be another fabulous shoot with some cool results again!
P.S. I’m still waiting for both me mates to post their photos… *hahahaha*
Take care and have a great weekend ya’ll!
